Case AT.40208 International Skating Union's Eligibility Rules, Decision of the European Commission of 8 December 2017
In the vast majority of crucial sports in Europe there is only one leading association, which usually faces no or almost no competition in the area of the sport. Nevertheless, occasionally some attempts at introducing new, independent events are taken. The European Commission in its decision in Case AT.40208 – International Skating Union's Eligibility Rules of 8 December 2017 has examined the legality of the leading sport entities practices aiming to suppress alternative events.
