On 28 March 2019 Sector Alarm, a Norway-based supplier of alarm systems, was forced to cut back on the shareholding it had intended to acquire in a rival. This is the first time the Norwegian Competition Authority has made use of its essentially unlimited power to tackle non-controlling minority acquisitions.
